1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us.
In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Website, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Website or otherwise when you contact us.
The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Website, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- Personal Information Provided by you. We collect email addresses and other similar information.
- Spotify Login Data. We provide you with the option to register with us using your existing Spotify account details. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the information described in the section called "how do we handle your social logins" below.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
2. How do we use your information?
In short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.
We use personal information collected via our Website for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. We indicate the specific processing grounds we rely on next to each purpose listed below.
We use the information we collect or receive:
- To facilitate account creation and login process. If you choose to create your account with us using a Spotify account, we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and login process for the performance of the contract. See the section below headed "how do we handle your social logins" for further information.
- To manage user accounts. We may use your information for the purposes of managing our account and keeping it in working order.
3. Will your information be shared with anyone?
In short: We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.
We may process or share your data that we hold based on the following legal basis:

4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
In short: We do not use third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information. But we do use a session cookie.
Third-party cookies
We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. We integrated the tool Vercel Analytics into our website, which does not use any cookies but instead anonymized request data for analytics purposes.
Functional cookies
We use a functional session cookie called "auth_session" to handle the login process and assigning submissions to a user. Additionally, we use a cookie called "voter-id", which is a randomly generated ID to ensure votes on our Website are unique.
5. How do we handle your social logins?
In short: If you choose to register or log in to our services using a Spotify account, we may have access to certain information about you.
Our Website offers you the ability to register and login using your Spotify account details. Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from Spotify. The profile information we receive may vary, but will often include your name, email address, subscription status as well as other information you choose to make public on Spotify.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Website. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by Spotify. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps. 6. How long do we keep your information?
In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

In short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Website is at your own risk. 8. What are your privacy rights?
In short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can contact us or do so in your account settings.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
Cookies and similar technologies
Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Website.
9. Controls for do not track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

In short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
